On June 9th 2025, i opened up an ask me anything to the PsyChicks Community to provide support to people who were struggling with their metaphysical business. Below are the questions and the responses that I ( Brandie Michelle Peters ) provided to these inquiries.

Question was regarding content creation when you are struggling with imposter syndrome.
Response:
Hi Shanna,
First of all, thank you for being part of the PsyChicks Collective. I’m going through these AMA questions one by one, and I really appreciate yours.
You asked about imposter syndrome, especially as it relates to content creation, and I want to share a few key insights with you.
Let’s start with the root issue:
When you feel like an imposter, it usually stems from subconscious negative programming—essentially a harmful story you’re telling yourself about your own value or capability. Long-term, overcoming this requires working on your internal dialogue and may involve mindset work, such as therapy, journaling, affirmations, or self-reflection practices.
That said, here are three quick and effective strategies to help you shift out of imposter syndrome and into empowered action:
1. Get into alignment with your promises and delivery.
Imposter syndrome often surfaces when your internal self doubts whether you can truly deliver what you’re promising. One way to immediately ease that pressure is to simplify and clarify what you offer.
For example: If you promise a 15-minute reading, then give a focused and high-quality 15-minute reading. That’s enough.
Avoid overpromising in an attempt to “sound more valuable”—e.g., “I’ll give you the most transformative 50-minute session of your life!” That’s not realistic or sustainable, especially when working with multiple clients.
When your offer, your promise, and your actual delivery are all aligned, there’s no room for imposter syndrome to creep in—because you’re not pretending anything. You’re in integrity.
2. Revisit testimonials and client feedback often.
This is a powerful reframe tool. Ask for feedback after every session and save the testimonials that highlight your impact.
Reading those words—real reflections of how your work has helped others—can quickly interrupt imposter thoughts and remind you of the value you offer.
Keep a folder (physical or digital) where you store this positive feedback, and pull it out whenever the doubts start to creep in.
3. Anchor into a mission that’s bigger than your fears.
Imposter syndrome tends to show up when we lose sight of the bigger picture—when it feels like we’re just going through the motions without purpose.
This is why having a clear mission statement and a defined set of business values is essential.
When you’re struggling with self-doubt, ask yourself:
“Am I still aligned with my mission?”
Your mission becomes the anchor. It keeps you steady, focused, and accountable—regardless of how confident (or not) you’re feeling that day.
Take time to define your mission and values if you haven’t already. It’s a powerful way to stay grounded and clear-headed.

📌 How to Gain Social Media Followers for Your Spiritual Business: A Strategy That Works
https://psychickscoop.com/how-to-gain-social-media-followers-for-your-spiritual-business-strategy-that-works/

Thank you so much for your thoughtful AMA question—I’m taking time this morning to answer each one in-depth, and I really appreciate yours.
Here’s what I want to share with you:
You are absolutely right.
A lot of people who seek out healers, coaches, and spiritual practitioners are dealing with unhealed money wounds or real financial limitations. Whether it stems from a scarcity mindset or genuine financial hardship, this can make it difficult to get them to invest—even when you know your service can truly help them. This reality can be discouraging when you’re also trying to honor your worth.
But here’s the key truth:
No matter what mindset someone is in, nearly everyone is willing to spend money on two specific things:
1. Solutions to a Problem
When someone is in pain or facing a challenge they want resolved, they will invest in a solution—even if money is tight.
This is especially true when your service clearly addresses a specific need or struggle they are actively trying to overcome.
2. Improvements to Their Life
People will pay for things that make them feel better, lighten their emotional or mental load, or bring positive change to their life. Even those with financial challenges will make room in their budget for services that offer relief, growth, or empowerment.
What This Means for You:
Instead of offering generalized “experiential” services—like a reading simply for entertainment or insight, which is often seen as a luxury—frame your work as a solution or as a tool for transformation.
For example:
Don’t just offer a “60-minute intuitive reading.”
Instead, describe it as: “A 60-minute session to help you gain clarity, release emotional heaviness, and identify your next aligned step so you can move forward with confidence.”
It’s not about changing your gifts or compromising your spiritual values—it’s about communicating your offers in a way that clearly explains what’s in it for the client.
When your message focuses on the real-life benefits and results, your audience (even those with money resistance) will be more likely to see your work as a valuable investment—not a splurge.

📌 How to Sell Metaphysical Offers to Non-Wooey People
https://psychickscoop.com/how-to-sell-metaphysical-offers-to-non-wooey-people/

From what you shared, it sounds like you’re in a place where you need to create and implement your own internal business processes. This is a crucial step toward operating more professionally, staying organized, and ultimately allowing your spiritual business to grow.
Here’s what I recommend:
Start by building a client workflow checklist—a clear set of steps that you follow from the moment a lead comes in, all the way through to final delivery and follow-up. This will help you stay consistent and confident in your process.
You’ll want to create simple templates for each phase of the client journey, such as:
Initial Inquiry: What info do you send when a new lead comes in?
Booking Confirmation: What email or message do you send once they say yes?
Follow-Up: What happens after the service is delivered? Do you request feedback or a testimonial?
Internal Steps: This includes behind-the-scenes actions like updating your bookkeeping, marking invoices paid, or noting customer preferences for the future.
These templates and checklists form the foundation of your standard operating procedures (SOPs)—your personalized system for how you run your business.
A Shift in Mindset:
It’s important to recognize that this is your business—and you must lead it intentionally. If you don’t create structure, your business can quickly become overwhelming or chaotic.
Clarity creates freedom. The more streamlined and repeatable your systems are, the easier it will be to scale and maintain consistency in the client experience.

📌 5 Reasons Why Your Spiritual Business Is Failing (and How to Course Correct)
https://psychickscoop.com/5-reasons-why-your-spiritual-business-is-failing-and-how-to-course-correct/

Thank you for your AMA question—I’m responding to each one this morning, and I really appreciate you bringing this up.
What you’re experiencing is very common for metaphysical business owners who are just starting out. It can feel overwhelming when you’re unsure where your next client will come from or what kind of marketing will actually work.
Let me offer you a few foundational tips to help you start finding the right clients:
1. Know Who You’re Talking To: The “Curious Seeker” Audience
Metaphysical businesses serve a niche market. That means not everyone is your potential client—and that’s a good thing.
Rather than trying to appeal to a general “normie” audience (who may not understand or resonate with your work), focus on getting in front of people I call Curious Seekers—those who:
Already believe in or are open to metaphysical/spiritual concepts
Are actively seeking growth, healing, or deeper experiences
Advertising or promoting yourself in spaces where this kind of person already exists (like the PsyChicks Collective or spiritual interest groups) will yield far better results. If you’re not already a member of the Collective, it may be a good fit!
2. Build Trust Through Storytelling and Visibility
In order for people to believe in your gifts and feel confident working with you, they need to see you.
That means:
Share your story
Teach what you know
Post valuable content
Highlight testimonials from real clients
There are plenty of other people offering similar services—but no one is you. Show up consistently and authentically, and let your audience get to know the heart behind your work. That’s what creates connection, builds trust, and makes people excited to buy from you.
Ask yourself:
“What am I doing to attract the right people and help them feel safe trusting me?”

📌 How to Build a Loyal Audience for Your Metaphysical Business
https://psychickscoop.com/how-to-build-a-loyal-audience-for-your-metaphysical-business/

Thank you for your question—I’m so excited to offer you some advice on how to sell your spiritual scent box!
I know firsthand how discouraging it can feel to launch something you poured your heart into, only to have it fall short of the response you hoped for. That said, you’re not too late, and there’s a proven path forward.
Here’s what I recommend:
1. Validate Your Offer with Real Feedback
Validation is key to launching a successful product—especially a physical one.
Before you put more energy into selling, it’s essential to test your concept with your ideal audience. That means:
Describing your scent box and showing visuals or mockups
Sharing your idea in a group like this or other aligned communities
Asking directly: “Would you buy this?” or “Which scent or feature appeals to you most?”
This kind of simple market research can give you powerful insights into what your audience really wants and how to position your product.
2. Use Storytelling to Build Connection
If you’re launching organically without a budget for ads, you must build a relationship between your audience and your brand.
Your goal is to get people emotionally invested—not just in the product, but in you as the creator. Use social media to tell the full story:
Why you created the spiritual scent box
What makes it special
Who it’s designed to help
What kind of transformation or experience it provides
Think of this as building momentum before the launch. The more people who care about the story behind the product, the more likely they are to support it.
3. Try a Proven Launch Strategy for Physical Products: The Giveaway Waitlist
This method is effective, repeatable, and totally doable—especially for indie product makers like you.
Here’s how it works:
Run a Giveaway: Offer one of your first boxes as a prize.
Entry = Email Subscription: Have people join your mailing list to enter the draw.
Build Anticipation: While the giveaway is running, continue sharing your story and showcasing the product online.
Draw the Winner on Launch Day: Announce the winner and use that same momentum to promote your launch.
Send a Promo Code to Entrants: Thank everyone who entered with a special offer or discount to encourage immediate purchases.
This launch list becomes your warmest audience—people who already showed interest and are primed to buy. Even if they don’t win, they’re likely to convert if they loved the concept enough to sign up.
You’re not too late to try this.
Start your giveaway today. Set up a simple email capture form (Mailerlite or ConvertKit works great). Use Instagram or Facebook to tell your story, showcase the scent box, and invite people to enter.
It’s a fresh start—and one that’s grounded in strategy.

📌 5 Reasons Why Your Spiritual Business Is Failing (and How to Course Correct)
https://psychickscoop.com/5-reasons-why-your-spiritual-business-is-failing-and-how-to-course-correct/

Thank you so much for participating in my Q&A! I’m really glad you asked this question, and I’d love to offer you some guidance on how to start getting paid for your spiritual work.
Many people begin with a “pay what you can” or tip jar model, and that can be a great first step to ensure you’re not working for free while remaining accessible. But the real energetic shift comes when you begin to view and present yourself as a professional—and frame your work as a business.
Here are some specific steps to help you move into that energy and start receiving payment more consistently:
1. Clearly Define Your Offerings
If you want to be paid, people need to understand exactly what they’re paying for.
That means:
What service are you offering?
What’s included in the session or product?
How long will it take?
What can the client expect as an outcome?
What is the exchange of value?
If you offer multiple services, outline your full offer suite and clearly explain the differences between each one. This clarity makes it easier for potential clients to say yes.
2. Describe Yourself and Your Business Professionally
Take time to define your business in writing—just like a real company would. You don’t need anything fancy, but creating a simple business plan or overview can go a long way in establishing your credibility.
Include:
What your business is and what it offers
Who you are and why you do this work
Your background, experience, or training
The value you provide to clients
Having these details clear and accessible builds trust—and trust is what gets people to open their wallets.
3. Set Up a “Pay What You Can” Tip Jar Checkout
If you’re starting with flexible pricing, create an easy and professional way for people to send payments.
This usually looks like:
A simple landing page or website
A description of the offer or session
A “Pay What You Can” button (via PayPal, Stripe, etc.)
Here’s a detailed guide I created to walk you through this step:
📌 How to Create a Tip Jar So You Can Receive Donations for Your Metaphysical Services
https://psychickscoop.com/how-to-create-a-tip-jar-so-you-can-receive-donations-for-your-metaphysical-services/
4. Find a Relevant Audience
None of this works without people to see it. One of the most important parts of getting paid is putting your offer in front of the right audience—people who are already interested in spiritual work and open to investing in their growth.
Consider:
Joining the PsyChicks Collective and offering Pay What You Can sessions in our community
Sharing your offer in aligned Facebook groups or metaphysical circles
Creating consistent content to attract and educate your ideal clients

Thank you so much for participating! I’m glad you asked this question—here’s my guidance for you:
Getting your first paying customer (and many more after that) really comes down to mastering two important things:
1. Learn to Speak in Outcomes—Not Just Modalities
One of the biggest mistakes new metaphysical practitioners make is focusing too much on the modality (e.g., tarot, mediumship, Reiki, etc.) instead of on the results their work creates.
Most people aren’t walking around saying, “I really need a tarot card reading today.”
What they are looking for is:
A solution to something they’re struggling with
A temporary lift or relief from an emotional or energetic weight
So, instead of selling what you do, try to sell what your work does for them. Ask yourself:
What problem does this help solve?
How does this make someone feel better or shift their experience?
Why is that result valuable?
When you frame your services around outcomes, people understand the value more easily—and are more likely to buy.
2. Get Real-World Feedback From a Test Audience
The best way to figure out how to describe your offer is to actually work with a few people and use their feedback as market research.
After each session, ask:
“What was most helpful about this experience for you?”
“How did you feel afterward?”
“Would you recommend this to someone, and if so, why?”
Their responses will give you real language and insights you can use to describe your offers more effectively. This is how you refine your messaging and make your services more compelling to potential clients.

📌 Stuck At the Start: How to Launch a New Metaphysical Offering and Actually Get Sales
https://psychickscoop.com/stuck-at-the-start-how-to-launch-a-new-metaphysical-offering-and-actually-get-sales-step-by-step/

Thank you so much for participating in my AMA! I’m really excited to respond to your question, as it touches on a challenge so many spiritual entrepreneurs face—not feeling “good enough” to begin.
Here’s the truth: there are two different paths to overcoming this, and the first step is figuring out which one applies to you.
1. Determine What’s Really Going On: Imposter Syndrome vs. Inexperience
Ask yourself honestly:
Is this self-doubt coming from imposter syndrome—or is it a lack of experience or skill?
If it’s imposter syndrome (you do have qualifications, practice, or talent—but you still feel unworthy), then your focus should be on personal development, confidence-building, and mindset work. You already have what it takes—you just need to believe it.
If it’s a lack of professional experience, then you need to build that experience intentionally. And that’s totally doable!
2. Gain Confidence by Taking Action: Create, Test, Refine
If you’re still gaining experience, here’s a practical path to build both your skills and your confidence:
Design your Offer Suite: Clearly define the services you want to provide and what each offer includes.
Do Pro Bono or Discounted Sessions: Work with a set number of people (aim for 15–30) and treat these as test cases. In exchange, ask for honest feedback and testimonials.
Refine Your Offer: Use the feedback to tweak and improve your services. Run a second round of test sessions if needed.
Collect Data on Results: Ask clients what specific benefits or outcomes they experienced. This information becomes your marketing gold—it tells you how to describe your service and the transformation you offer.
Set a Price Based on Proven Value: Once your offer is tested and refined, assign it a value based on real-world results.
This approach allows you to build both the confidence and credibility to step into your business fully—and start charging for the incredible value you provide.

📌 Should You Start a Part-Time Side Hustle Sharing Your Metaphysical Gifts?
https://psychickscoop.com/should-you-start-a-part-time-side-hustle-sharing-your-metaphysical-gifts/

I’m working through all of the AMA responses right now, and I’m glad to share some insight with you.
If you’re not feeling confident in your abilities, there’s a good chance that you may be:
Trying to do too much at once, or
Focusing more on mastering different modalities than on developing a repeatable process that delivers consistent results to a specific type of client.
Let me explain.
Confidence Comes From Clarity
Instead of thinking, “I need to be better at tarot, Reiki, or mediumship,” try shifting your focus to:
Who do I best serve?
What outcome can I consistently provide?
What transformation do clients credit to me?
Think back to past sessions or practice clients. Were there common threads?
Maybe many of them were dealing with:
Relationship uncertainty
Childhood trauma or inner child healing
Energy blocks around self-worth or career
If you can identify patterns in the people you’ve helped and the results they experienced, you’ll uncover your niche—the space where your gifts and confidence meet.
This is where your business becomes real. Because at the end of the day, people invest in outcomes—not modalities.
Ask Yourself:
What is the result I provide?
What can I consistently offer with confidence?
Who am I uniquely designed to help?
Answering these questions gives you the foundation to design services that are both effective and aligned—giving you the confidence you need to show up and sell your work.
